We are humbled here at Brush Fire Forum to have so many talented contributors from around the nation becoming part of this community. We would like to take a moment and introduce you to some of the authors so you can learn more about their background and inspiration.

Dr. Shanon Brooks: is the President of Monticello College and the former president of George Wythe University. Dr. Brooks is the Director of Education and Training for Humanitarian Visions International, S.A., and a founding partner of the Center for Social Leadership. He co-authored Thomas Jefferson Education for Teens. He has more than 21 years of experience in teaching and administering entrepreneurial higher-education organizations. He holds a B.A. in Business Administration, an M.A. in Education, and a Ph.D. in Constitutional Law. He calls home in Monticello, Utah with his wife Julia and his six children. Dr. Brooks passions are about liberty, liberal arts education and the organic concept of Georgics.

Don Pinson: is a minister who, over the last forty years, has served as a Pastor, Evangelist, and Counselor. He currently is a policy analyst and serves as President of Heritage Ministries of Kentucky. Heritage Ministries seeks to restore Biblical understanding in the educational, economic and governmental realms through seminars, revival meetings, a radio and television ministry called Think About It, Christian History Tours, Children’s Heritage Days, and other means. He resides in Clay Co., Ky. with his wife of 37 years, Vickie, and daughter, Christ is Joy, who tutors a Christian homeschool and also teaches art from a Biblical perspective.

Eric Wilson: is the Network Administrator and co-founder of Brush Fire Forum, executive director for the Kentucky 9/12 Project, and co-author of the book “We Surround Them; Our Journey From Apathy to Action”. He has been heavily involved encouraging the principle of self-governing leadership and has appeared on multiple shows and in numerous publications. Eric calls Kentucky his home and is married with three children ranging from ages fifteen to three. Eric’s passions are liberty, critical thinking, and reason and attempts to find connections and encourage thinking in his articles.

Justen Collins: is a founding member of Brush Fire Forum who currently spends his days working as a logistics specialist. Predating his career success in the business world though, is his enthusiasm for writing, having been nationally published in assorted magazines and journals since 1996. In the spring of 2011, he co-authored his first book entitled, "We Surround Them: Our Journey from Apathy to Action." Known to his friends as BDC (a nickname derived from his wrestling persona - "Big Daddy Collins), Justen is married with two young sons and presently resides in Knoxville, Tennessee. Justen considers himself a "collector of life experiences" and his musings and writings project common sense knowledge and entertainment that help inspire others to strive for their “best selves.”
