“Exploring Black Patriots – by Lisa and Jeff Abler”
This exciting and much anticipated next release from Ivory Notebook; the same people who brought us Vacation Liberty School. Exploring Black Patriots intertwines the experiences of outstanding African American patriots with engaging activities and discussions that encourage children to practice integrity, perseverance, and responsibility. Each day, black heroes are highlighted who overcame hardships to achieve meritorious accomplishments that impact our country even today. The program was created and available at Ivory Notebook. Not really a book but more of a curriculum or great addition for any home school parent, it is designed to be offered once a week during a four week session.
Eric Wilson’s Review: Not as much a book but a curriculum.. If you knew the energy, time, emotion, and heart felt prayers that have gone into this curriculum and text by both Jeff and Lisa you would pick it up for that reason alone. After you are introduced to the amazing stories that have virtually gone untold about great men and women of our country’s history you will get it for that reason as well. Then add the pure educational factor and wonderful activities and learning any child will have going through this as a group and it becomes an absolute must. Modeled similarly to the well know Vacation Liberty School this is another addition to a great curriculum you can use for children 13 – 17 and teach them many of the untold stories.
