“We Surround Them; Our Journey From Apathy to Action – Eric Wilson & Justen Collins”
The 9/12 Project began all across America, in homes and communities, on March 13, 2009. From its inception, the movement has been guided by a set of nine fundamental principles and twelve core values. We Surround Them: Our Journey from Apathy to Action is the inspirational story of one 9/12 chapter’s humble beginning, its frenzied progress, and its uplifting journey. Exploring the human side of the movement, this diary-style work is full of hope, insight, and the surging power of individuals choosing to make a difference. The vivid firsthand accounts provide an opportunity to do more than just read a group’s history, but to live their sacrifices and accomplishments along with them. Promoting personal responsibility, We Surround Them is the inspirational story sure to satisfy anyone and is a fresh glimpse of hopefulness that the true spirit of “We the People” is not dead and has become the new American story
Eric Wilson’s Review: Well this is awkward… While I can say despite my bias that this is a good read, but it was not our initial intention to highlight this book. BUT with the pressure from the IRS and in the shadow of our anniversary this will be the book of the month. It was our original thought when the IRS was demanding details of everything we have done and more or less our motivations we would just send them a copy of this book and tell them “Read the Book”. That is what this book is, this is your story and why we are doing what we are doing. A short read and enjoyable read you will appreciate the story and come away inspired. (And when you are done with it forward it on to the IRS and tell them to Read it.)
